Water colors
Watercolors are like ventricular vehicles for harmonious disasters and diasterous harmonies (allow me my poetic abstractions). These are collections of paintings I consider "done." The collections themselves aren't done -- I'm not sure if there is an endpoint for them, so you should check back in occasionally for updates (for more paintings, process notes*, and un/related stories).
*As a general note, a lot of paintings involve me pressing a still-wet painting onto a blank piece of paper and sometimes dragging or spinning it to create the initial layer of another painting, similar to pentimento (which is painting over another painting, but being able to see glimpses of the original underneath). For some, I used a chunk of scrap wood, buttons, and other random objects to apply paint in place of brushes. My best paintings are made while standing up.
