Don’t think about it anymore.

if you go to bed really late
but keep saying tomorrow

you won’t because you won’t
be tired enough to stay up

as late and then
you still do.

Randomly, without motive,
tell a friend

you’re their number one fan.
They deserve the key to the

habitat informed by structure
or. At least a dozen flowers.

The flowers would be in a choir.
A squabble would ensue:

the marigold wants to be a tenor
but the chrysanthemum does too

and there’s already too many
tenors so they decide on a game

of rock, paper, petal and of
course the chrysanthemum wins.

The chrysanthemum never loses.
That’s a fact of life.
